+thirsty by erin ko+
Take a trip through layers of the psycho spiritual, digital, esoteric world of 2020 and visit Plant Dirt for a mixed reality end-of-world party. Produced and curated by Erin Ko, this show brings together a group of talented multidisciplinary artists featuring work made in lockdown and/or as a direct result of the events of 2020 and its fallout. Thirsty seeks to explore how we process our collective trauma as powerful invisible forces drive people apart.

+by all means: figure drawing (10.17)+
Creative spirits danced in harmony within the minds of the eager artists of the class. Possessed with inspiration, nimble fingers infused particles of pure magic into the charcoal, which left streaks of wonder on the newsprint. Flow states were reached. The room was momentarily lifted to the heavens. The vibes were truly immaculate.
+shapes of openness: ferrum by peter leone+
Peter and the boys rode into Chinatown on a chariot of fire, adrenaline, and pure rock ‘n roll. The multidisciplinary artist and sculptor, Peter Leone, created a landscape fraught with danger as his cast iron creations wrought into frightening shapes split beams of light into intricate shadows of beautiful terror. The week long exhibition was a nonstop slugfest battling the demons of art and pain, bookended by raucous moments of bliss.

+a nightmare on all street+
Spooky season has fallen upon us, but rather than cowering in fear, we’ve decided to embrace the darkness. Ghosts and ghouls will be afoot, overhead, and perhaps even amongst the crowd. In collaboration with the otherworldly forces we’ve summoned, All Street is excited to invite both the living and dead alike to A Nightmare on All Street, an interactive horror installation with a coinciding costume party, music festival, and short film screening. Join us for the commencement of the festivities on October 27th at 9pm at 119 Hester Street.

+little shadows tryna get big in the night by cs+
The little shadow spends every waking moment following, perpetually in service. Rather than wallowing in such a destitute destiny, they’ve chosen to find a purpose within their existence. Their life is a celestial game of tag. Avoiding sun rays, dodging moonbeams, and constantly hiding from the light. In the darkness they are home. In the dimmest corners of the world they can grow to unfathomable heights and consume all that surrounds them. In learning to harness the shade they’ve discovered an internal power and have vanquished all fear of the light.
+anonymity by anonymous+
I got a face that nobody knows So i don’t need a mask to look like a ghost Everyone already leaves me alone Everyone already leaves me alone My skins impervious to sticks and stones Words cut deep but won't break my bones And sometimes i intentionally lose my phone Sit in the dark and get acquainted with the unknown But responsibilities will persist when you’re grown Because once you’ve seen the light it can’t be unshown
+lineage by casper+
i’m out here tryna uproot generational trauma from my family tree but last names follow like shadows burning, branding scarlet letters into dark skin as my fingers trace raised scar tissue until the line just ends.

You: a steel magnolia in a field of iron
Me: a ferocious forge
Description:
The iron flowing through my bloodstream is racing towards my heart as I gaze upon your raw power and strength. My core has liquified and is ready to be welded.

You: typically go unseen
Me: sees you
Description:
You try not to take up too much space. You color within the lines. Follow the rules. You’re respectful and neat. But in my mind, you’ve sprawled out and claimed the most hidden nooks of my inner world.

You: might be crazy like I am
Me: utterly unhinged
Description:
Every thought is you. Every moment is you. Every desire is you. The only future I can see is us.
horoscopes
+Aries+
The question isn’t whether ghosts exist or not. The question is: do you?
+Taurus+
You’re not just “seeing things.” You’re seeing everything. Stay woke.
+Gemini+
Go to the nearest graveyard at precisely 11:11 pm. At the entrance, burn three sprigs of thyme. Immerse yourself in the smoky aroma. Then enter the graveyard and find a climbable tree. Climb the tallest branch and sit down. Stare directly at the moon. After 18 minutes, go home and immediately go to bed. The dream you have that night will answer it all.
+Cancer+
You’re not a monster. You’re a human being and that should frighten you even more.
+Leo+
Be like the wind.
+Virgo+
You could spend your entire life thinking about what comes after death and it won’t change a single thing about what comes after you die. So get out of your head and start living.
+Libra+
You’re never alone when you’re walking with your shadow.
+Scorpio+
Someone from your past will be contacting you soon, but be wary because they aren’t who they claim to be.
+Sagittarius+
If you’re feeling invisible, then close your eyes now everyone else is invisible too.
+Capricorn+
Those aren’t creaky floorboards outside your room. Those are the spirits of your ancestors watching their legacy waste their life away.
+Aquarius+
That recurring dream you’ve been having isn’t real, but one day it could be so step carefully.
+Pisces+
One person’s nightmares are another’s dreams, so just be thankful you have a bed.
